MultiVersus Delay and Latency Problems: How to Fix Them

MultiVersus Delay and Latency Problems: How to Fix Them - October 1, 2022

In this guide, we will show you the workaround for solving lag and latency issues in MultiVersus. This Warner Bros crossover fighting game has just made its way, but even in such a short time, it has managed to grab the attention of the masses. Well, when you get characters from Warner Bros., DC Comics, HBO, Turner Entertainment, and Cartoon Network, it was only a matter of time before the game hit the right deal with the audience.

However, as of this writing, the game is still in the beta stage, so some bugs and issues are in line with the exceptions. And indeed it was. Numerous users have expressed their concern who are facing significant lag and latency issues in MultiVersus. As a result, the attacks are not hitting the opponents and the rubber band bug is making life difficult for the players.

As for the latter, many users have reported that they were suddenly teleported to a completely different region. Add to it the constant delays and the outrage from the end of the user is completely justified. That said, there is a workaround that could help you fix the above problem. So, without further ado, let’s take a look.

MultiVersus Delay and Latency Problems: How to Fix Them

To fix this, you’ll need to select a server that maintains a balance between the distance from your location and the overall load. A server is close enough to you but has a high traffic load or a server far away from you with minimal traffic – both are not good. So browse the server list and opt for the one that manages to level the playing field when it comes to distance and traffic load. Here’s how it could be done:

  1. Launch MultiVersus and click on the settings icon located in the left menu bar.
  2. Then select Online / Legal and click on the drop-down menu next to Preferred Server Region.
  3. Now select the server that marks both parameters listed above.
  4. Make sure your connection status shows the green bar, rather than the orange or red one.

That’s all. These were the steps to solve the lag and latency issues in MultiVersus. Seeing as the game is currently being tested, not even he would have imagined that so many users would end up trying it. It seems the servers can’t handle such a large influx of users all of a sudden.

However, there should be no room for complacency and we hope it will be addressed soon. By the way, the developers are aware of this problem, but they have not provided any ETAs for implementing a fix. When that happens, we will update this guide accordingly. Meanwhile, the above workarounds are your best bet.
